Networking is something that we do as part of our everyday lives and as such it is a key success secret. Any time you read a good book and tell your friends about it you are engaging in a form of networking. Network marketing is a form of networking with a financial benefit attached to it. If you find a product that you love, such as a cleansing product, then why not see if the company offers an affiliate program so that you can recommend the product to your friends with genuine enthusiasm and earn a commission on any sales you make?
Your friends get a great product that they would have to buy anyway, and you get paid for introducing them to it.
Also, if your friend likes the product enough she may decide to join the affiliate program as part of your team and start introducing the product to her network of friends and both of you will get paid commission on her sales.
Just about anything can be sold through network marketing, and not just conventional products but also such products as study courses and self-improvement programs that enable you and your team to "learn while you earn".
One particular product that is eminently suitable for the network marketing approach is online success mentoring programs such as those offered by companies such as Trump University and Success University.
Such courses can be promoted in much the same way as a cosmetic product or health product can be, both on the Internet and face to face.
Now, because the a self-improvement or success-mentoring course is offering a form of knowledge or skill building rather than a tangible product, the way is open for a skillful marketer to repackage the product.
It can be done in such a way as to enhance the benefits on offer to the customer (and ideally at no extra expense) while building the marketer's networking business.
The essential ingredients are imagination and enthusiasm for the product.
Let me give you a couple of examples.
1. As someone who lives in Japan and puts together English language courses for Japanese business students, I find the motivational courses and sales courses available as part of the Success University curriculum to be invaluable teaching tools.
The students also feel that they are not only learning English but learning business English AND the skills needed to succeed in doing business in Britain and America.
Moreover, now that the students are enrolled into Success University, a large percentage of them remain as part of my network after the course is over. I encourage them to do so by offering free weekly or monthly top up tuition via Skype in which one lesson from one or other of the Success University courses is reviewed either one -to-one or as part of a tele-conference.
In other words, by adapting a Success University course for the business English classroom, I am able to ratchet up the benefits I can offer my clients without having to raise my fees or write my own courses - AND I can build my Success University business.
2. One of the current Directors of Success University, Haroon Sufi, used the resources available to him in the Success University back office to help get a job in a realtor company. He went along to the interview armed with Success University's Empower magazine. When he was asked about his sales experience he used it as an opening to talk about how he had studied Brian Tracy's "21 Secrets on Becoming a Sales Superstar" and talked about Success Unversity.
As a result he was offered the job and given the added responsibility of training the staff to improve their sales techniques and achieve better results.
Haroon says, "I got the job thanks to Success University".
These are just two of many many examples of how innovative thinking can be applied to making a success of your network marketing business by adapting it to your personal circumstances and promoting it with genuine enthusiasm.
